MTCC to Celebrate the Holidays with Virtual Event

Mosaic Templars Cultural Center - Monday, November 23, 2020

Join Mosaic Templars Cultural Center for a special, virtual holiday experience at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, on Facebook Live or YouTube.

Because of ongoing concerns from Covid-19, MTCC and Arkansas Heritage will present a virtual experience to bring holiday joy to Arkansans everywhere. The event features music, kids' crafts, sweet potato pie, cookie decoration demonstrations, a tribute to Robert "Say" McIntosh and a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus and a few special friends.

“From our family to yours, we want to wish you happy holidays, good tidings and cheer,” said Christina Shutt.

Pick up a special kit to join the crafting fun with the Central Arkansas Library System. Craft kits are available at MTCC or CALS for free. Then, get inspired by songstress LeSheena Gordon’s rendition of classic Christmas favorites, learn to decorate Christmas cookies with Latrece Smith, and listen to a Christmas story with Mrs. Claus. Santa and his elves will make an appearance, and Henderson Middle School Choir will also perform!

“We are excited to have the opportunity to be a part of bringing happiness to families statewide,” Shutt said. “The holidays are meant to bring families together. Even during these difficult times, we will be here for our community, which is our family.”

The virtual event will take the place of typically in-person events, such as Open House, which were planned for this year. For more information, contact MTCC at 501-683-3593.
