MTCC welcomes new staff

Mosaic Templars Cultural Center - Monday, August 15, 2016

In July, Mosaic Templars Cultural Center (MTCC) welcomed Elizabeth Marg to the role of education director. Liz comes to the museum from serving as the executive director of the Hearts and Hooves therapeutic riding center in Sherwood. In addition to managing a staff of 7, she also supervised more than 75 volunteers and worked to increase both the number of staff positions and donor giving. Liz has completed Master's coursework in Middle Childhood Education, served as a fifth-grade reading teacher and even worked in Bulgaria as an ESL teacher for the Peace Corps. She is fluent in Bulgarian, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

On August 9, Angela Newkirk joined the staff at MTCC as development director. Angela comes to the museum from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she served as theater instructor and box office manager. She has extensive fundraising experience in the arts, experience in managing volunteers and regularly mentors young women in the community. Her passion and enthusiasm for the museum (and life in general) is evident from the moment that you meet her.
